Client: JB Barry & Partners on behalf of the National Roads Authority

Declan Brassil & Company Ltd was engaged by JB Barry & Partners on behalf of the National Roads Authority to provide Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) services for the roll out of nine Tranche II Motorway Service Areas across the Country.  Work as completed to date and ongoing includes:

• Preparation of Socio-Economic Assessment for EIS reporting;
• Preparation of Planning Context to inform EIS reporting; and
• Provision of Planning Advices to project team. Service Areas are provided under the Roads Schemes legislation and are assessed by An Bord Pleanála.  The Practice has provided Planning Consultancy Services at a number of Oral Hearings with key input into the provision of evidence and support in respect of the following:
• Socio-economics;
• Retail assessment;
• Quality of life matters; and
• Statutory planning advices
