Client: Imera Ltd

Declan Brassil & Company Ltd was appointed as lead consultants by Imera Ltd to make applications to An Bord Pleanála under the Planning and Development (Strategic Infrastructure) Act 2006 for Electricity Interconnectors between Wales and Ireland and France and Ireland.  The Practice has completed advising on the site selection phase of the project which included establishing appropriate site selection criteria which prioritised operational requirements, visual and landscape impact, development plan designations, national policy objectives, transportation for construction, etc.  Potentially suitable areas were identified and assessed against these criteria.  The Wales Ireland project is currently at pre-application consultation phase with An Bord Pleanála.
