Declan Brassil & Company Ltd was appointed by Meath County Council to prepare a number of statutory Local Area Plans (LAP) for key towns and villages located in the County.
The LAPs were adopted in late 2009 and provide guidance for further development within the towns and villages in accordance with the planning framework established by the National Spatial Strategy, the Regional Planning Guidelines for the Greater Dublin Area GDA and the Meath County Development Plan 2007 – 2013.Services provided included:
- Co-ordination and facilitation of public consultation events;
- Preparation of reports on public submissions and observations;
- Preparation of Local Area Plans;
- Preparation of Strategic Environmental Assessment Scoping Documents;
- Preparation of Appropriate Assessment Scoping Documents; and
- Review of submissions and inputs to the preparation of the Manager’s Report.
